Justin grew up in East Hampton, New York, a beautiful and absurd place that is both better and worse than you may have heard. His at-times peripatetic existence has seen him call Seattle, Chicago, Columbus, and Tucson home; in the spaces between, he lived in East Hampton, wrote some screenplays, and co-managed BookHampton. He now lives in a small village in Queens, where he writes, cooks, makes music, and does a little programming. He holds degrees in literature and history from Purchase College and is rather fond of birds.
In 2002, Jeffrey Compton contacted Norma Foote to help teach members of his consulting company staff with their writing skills. For the next five Norma assumed full editing responsibilities for all CDC Reports – including the creation of Playback, a 100% customer input publication. Norma taught English at Brecksville High School (Ohio) for 30 years (one of her student being Jeffrey Compton), serving as English Department chair for 25 of those years. Among her many honors were Presidential Scholars Awards, Commended Teacher from the State of Ohio, and Teacher of the Year from the Brecksville School system.
