The invite-only conference will be held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and will give Scientific Games customers access to demonstrations, trainings, networking opportunities and access to executives and product experts.

Expected to draw in the neighborhood of 500-600 participants, the event is designed to ensure that customers walk away with not just the tools necessary to get the most of their Scientific Games products and relationships, but also to get a sneak preview of new innovations still in the development pipeline.

Billed as a more exclusive and more intimate version of the Global Gaming Expo, the event pledges to leave participants walking away more informed, more connected and better positioned to add value to their companies.

“EMPOWER 2017 is all about how our innovative new games, systems, and technology solutions empower you by growing your revenues, reducing your operating expenses and driving increased profitability,” Sheehan writes in the event’s official conference guide.

In addition, the conference will feature by a keynote address by Frances Townsend – a former homeland security advisor to President George W. Bush who delivered a keynote address at the 2016 Global Gaming Expo and currently serves on the Scientific Games Board of Directors.

EMPOWER kicks off March 7 with an all-day golf outing at Bali Hai Golf Club and an opening reception later that evening. The following two days will be chocked full of more than 60 interactive and informational sessions, 20 partner exhibits, product demonstrations and several networking events.

The conference offers something for attendees from every segment of casino operations, from slot operations and table games to compliance and information technology. Several new Scientific Games products will also be unveiled at the event, including and Anchorman: Return of Ron Burgundy slot machine.

A particular focus for this year’s event, the company says, will be the convergence of land-based and interactive technology as a means to help drive revenue, operating efficiency and player engagement. Participants will also gain a glimpse into Scientific Games’ new direction and initiatives under Sheehan, who took over as CEO last August.

Sheehan says that this year’s event will be a catalyst for better utilization of Scientific Games products by customers and an opportunity for attendees to develop and foster professional relationships in an exciting and dynamic setting. “If you want to learn, connect, be inspired, add value to your business and have fun, please join me and the Scientific Games leadership team at EMPOWER 2017.”
