Italian gambling regulator ADM has revealed the applications submitted by 70 gambling operators seeking a concession to operate an online casino in the country or to extend existing concessions.
All applicants were required to pay a one-time fee of € 200,000.
Some Italian casinos have requested a concession for the management of iGaming services.
Several operators have expressed interest in joining the shared liquidity project between France, Spain, Italy and Portugal and have applied for a grant to ADM.
PokerStars has filed an application for an extension of the existing concession.
Bwin Italy has submitted three questions; one of these could be for the management of an online poker site.
The Italian subsidiary of 888, Virtual Marketing Services Italia Ltd., also submitted an application for a concession.
French online gambling operator Winamax should enter iGaming’s Italian space via bet-at-home.
