Three longtime gaming industry veterans are the newest members of the Gaming Hall of Fame.
The American Gaming Association Tuesday introduced Gavin Isaacs, Virginia McDowell, and Michael Rumbolz as the newest inductees to the hall that was established in 1989.
“Gavin, Virginia, and Mike have each helped transform the gaming industry in their own significant ways,” said AGA President and CEO Bill Miller in a statement. “From leading casino and manufacturing operations across the country to serving in a multitude of board and advisory roles, their influence has spanned the U.S. and global gaming industry-and we are all better off for it.”
Isaacs is currently chairman of Games Global. During a career that spans almost four decades, the Australian native has served in executive leadership positions with Scientific Games (now Light & Wonder), SHFL Entertainment, and Bally Technologies. He started his gaming industry career with Aristocrat Technologies.
McDowell, formerly the president and CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, is a co-founder of the nonprofit advocacy group Global Gaming Women. Named Gaming Executive of the Year in 2009 by Casino Journal Magazine, McDowell currently serves as a non-executive director of Entain, chairing the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee and as the designated workforce director.
Rumbolz is the executive chairman of the board for Everi Holdings, and the company’s former CEO. Over the last 40 years, Rumbolz has worked in equipment and systems manufacturing and distribution; casino project development and construction; hotel and casino operations; casino fintech equipment and systems; casino regulatory technology; digital gaming; lottery and slot-route operations; and gaming legislation and regulation. He has served on the board of managers of Seminole Hard Rock International since 2008, and has been a member of VICI Properties board of directors since 2017.
The honorees were selected by an independent panel of gaming executives including:
- Jim Allen, Hard Rock International Chairman, Seminole Gaming CEO, and AGA Chairman of the Board
- Kirsten Clark, International Association of Gaming Advisors Executive Director
- Jeffrey Compton, CDC Gaming Reports Business Manager
- Alan Feldman, UNLV International Gaming Institute Chairman, International Center for Responsible Gaming and Distinguished Fellow
- Craig Ferreira, UNLV International Center for Gaming Regulation Interim Executive Director
- Dan Little, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Chief Intergovernmental Affairs Officer
- Cassie Stratford, Boyd Gaming SVP, Legal Operations & Regulatory Compliance, and Global Gaming Women President and Chair
“The Gaming Hall of Fame is comprised of individuals that have pushed the industry forward through innovation, leadership and excellence,” Allen said. “This year’s inductees are well-deserving additions to its ranks.”
The Class of 2022 will be honored at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas in October during an invitation-only induction ceremony.
