ANJ to modernise France’s self-exclusion scheme

l’Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) has taken over management of France’s self-exclusion scheme, as it continues to fulfill core duties as France’s new unified gambling regulator.

Previously managed by France’s Ministry of the Interior, ANJ immediately declared that it would move to revamp the self-exclusion service for modern consumers.

Taking over responsibilities, the ANJ has stated that France’s new service will be completely managed online, eliminating face-to-face registrations, human errors and delays in system updates.

Under the Ministry of the Interior, French players were required to register with their local police station in order to complete registration – a barrier that detracted vulnerable and at-risk players.
