Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino will return to operation beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, May 15 after two months of being closed. Fort McDowell Casino near Fountain Hills also announced it planned to open Friday. The Ak-Chin Tribal Council approved the reopening with enhanced safety measures. The move won’t involve reopening the casino’s events and conference center. Valet, the spa and fitness center also will remain closed. The casino, managed by Caesars Entertainment Corp., originally closed its Maricopa operations on March 16, opting to continue paying its employees.
