The application process to apply for a license has officially closed. Arkansas Racing Commission spokesperson, Scott Hardin, confirmed to KATV that two groups applied for a casino license. The Cherokee Nation Businesses, with plans to invest $225 million, has received three letters of support. Those letters were written by the Pope County Quorum Court, the county judge and the city of Dover. Part of the group’s plan is to either build a facility in the county or in Dover.
