Atlantic City: Showboat apartments, 2019 budget on CRDA agenda Tuesday David Danzis, Press of Atlantic City · November 20, 2018 at 2:42 pm ATLANTIC CITY — The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority will consider adopting its 2019 operating budget, approving Showboat’s apartment proposal and welcome a new board member during Tuesday’s public meeting. Modia “Mo” Butler, former chief of staff for U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, D-NJ, will attend his first meeting as a CRDA board member since being appointed by Gov. Phil Murphy last month. Butler, 45, who was recently named partner at Mercury Public Affairs LLC, served as chairman of the Newark Housing Authority from 2006 until 2015. He was Booker’s chief of staff for eight years while the former was mayor of Newark and a U.S. senator.
