Barstool online casino is conducting its soft launch in Pennsylvania. It is the state’s 16th online casino.

A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said the testing period will be conducted May 3 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., [and] May 4 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If all goes well, it will be cleared to operate 24/7 as early as May 5.

In late January 2020, Pennsylvania-based Penn National Gaming acquired a 36% stake in Barstool Sports for $163 million in cash and stock. Barstool online casino and sportsbook entered the state’s iGaming and mobile sports betting market through a partnership with PNG-owned Hollywood Casino (Grantville).
