BetMGM Friday announced an agreement with the Washington Nationals to make its mobile sports betting app available at Nationals Park. The exclusive partnership means BetMGM’s will be the only available mobile sports betting app at the ballpark, which connects to the retail BetMGM Sportsbook scheduled to open later this this year.

“Launching in Washington, D.C., at Nationals Park sets the stage for our plans to expand BetMGM within the region, as we’ve already seen great success in Virginia,” BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said in a statement. “The Washington Nationals have been a fantastic partner, committed to innovating the in-stadium fan experience, and we’re looking forward to opening our retail sportsbook at the stadium later this year.”

The BetMGM app can be accessed throughout the District of Columbia. But due to local restrictions, bettors need to be within two blocks of Nationals Park to place mobile wagers.

“The BetMGM mobile app will enable our fans to engage with the game in new and exciting ways,” said, Lerner Sports Group Chief Operating Officer Alan Gottlieb in statement. “The BetMGM sportsbook connected to Nationals Park will provide Nationals fans and the D.C. community with a first-class gathering place to celebrate their passion for sports.”

The Lerner Sports Group owns the Washington Nationals.

Since May, BetMGM has dramatically increased its sponsorship portfolio, announcing partnerships deals with the Baltimore Ravens, the LPGA, and New York Racing Association. The company also signed hockey legend Wayne Gretzky to be a brand ambassador on June 2.

On Thursday, MGM Resorts International announced it will host the U.S. men’s and women’s national basketball teams training for the Olympic Games at MGM properties. BetMGM is a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain Holdings.
