Colorado: Ute Mountain Casino Hotel to reopen March 3 Anthony Nicotera, The Durango Herald · February 28, 2021 at 8:45 pm The Ute Mountain Casino Hotel will reopen Wedensday with a host of safety improvements against the coronavirus. The casino and hotel temporarily closed in December out of caution and to assist the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe in its efforts to prevent the spread of the virus. The casino plans to reopen at 35% capacity. Safety measures include the installation of Plexiglass at registers and between gaming machines, additional hand sanitizing stations and enhanced cleaning procedures. Each table has plexiglass dividers, and masks must be worn by players and customers at all times. Temperatures will be checked upon entry. There will be a limit of eight people inside the Mountain Rewards Club at a time. Casino hours will run from 8 a.m. to midnight. Bingo remains temporarily closed.
