AGA Announcing Judy Patterson’s Departure By Geoff Freeman, AGA president and CEO October 15, 2013 at 4:19 pm The American Gaming Association (AGA) is announcing today that Judy Patterson has resigned as senior vice president and executive director. She will continue to support the organization as a consultant over the next year. Working alongside Frank Fahrenkopf, Judy was instrumental in the creation and success of the AGA. Among her signature accomplishments is the 1996 creation of the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG), the nation’s only independent, nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to funding research and education to advance the understanding and effective treatment of pathological and youth gambling. Perhaps most notably, she has been a key player in the creation and growth of Global Gaming Expo (G2E) and G2E Asia, the two premier gaming industry events in the world. She also created and spearheaded industry task forces to study and address issues as diverse as regulatory reform, taxes, bank secrecy act provisions, communications and responsible gaming. In 2011, she led the creation of Global Gaming Women, which counts more than 1,000 members and supports the development and success of women in the international gaming industry through education, mentorship and networking opportunities. Judy’s accomplishments are significant. Please join me in thanking her for more than 18 years of dedicated service to the AGA and the entire gaming industry.
