Gaming association brings promotional campaign to Des Moines By Casey Clark, Des Moines Register July 19, 2018 at 6:57 pm When companies hold ceremonial groundbreakings to announce facility openings or expansions, oftentimes surrounded by community leaders and public officials, many believe it is a mark of better things to come for local residents. For the gaming industry, we take the responsibility to be stewards of the communities we are a part of very seriously. The American Gaming Association is the leading advocate for America’s gaming industry, which produces $261 billion in annual economic impact and supports more than 1.8 million U.S. jobs. As an industry, we are committed to reinvesting in the communities that host us by promoting innovation at the local level, along with well-paying jobs and opportunities. This week, we are gathering leaders across Iowa in downtown Des Moines to discuss not only the economic impact of the industry, but its positive effects across all sectors of community life, including helping small businesses prosper and bolstering civic engagement with non-profits doing incredible work.
