Coronavirus concerns lead to more cleaning at MGM Northfield, JACK Casino Beacon Journal · March 12, 2020 at 5:31 pm Northeast Ohio’s two casinos and entertainment sites say they are increasing cleaning efforts on their properties because of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. The MGM Northfield Park entertainment and gambling facility in northern Summit County said it is taking additional steps because of the virus. While parent company MGM Resorts International has closed buffets at its Las Vegas properties, there are no plans right now to do the same thing at the Northfield Park site, a spokeswoman said Wednesday. The Northfield Park buffet is remaining open with additional safety guidelines and food safety best practices, she said. “We are proactively communicating with our employees on the guidance from the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] regarding prevention,” the spokeswoman said.
