Eldorado’s 23 casinos in 11 states were closed in March due to the spreading coronavirus pandemic.

In Missouri, Eldorado reopened Isle of Capri Boonville, Isle of Capri Kansas City, and Lumière Place in St. Louis. In Iowa, Eldorado resumed operations at Isle Bettendorf and Isle Waterloo.

Eldorado said in a statement it was implementing procedures that limit gaming capacity and ensure social distancing at its Missouri properties and is following regulations imposed by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds that limit gaming capacity to 50% of pre-COVID-19 levels with social distancing regulations.

Eldorado reopened its casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi last month.

“We have been working very hard over the last two months to prepare for these reopenings,” Eldorado President Anthony Carano said in a statement. “As we resume operations at our facilities across the country, the health and safety of our team members and guests remains our number one priority.”

In Nevada, Eldorado operates casinos in Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Laughlin. The state is scheduled to relaunch gaming early Thursday morning.

Eldorado is the process of acquiring Caesars Entertainment in a $17.3 billion merger. The transaction could close by the end of the month.
