The gang, composed of a group of cheating players, found a way to rig electronic roulette and thus blow up the bank. After six months of investigation by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police, thirteen people, including one woman, were arrested in the Parisian region.

The alleged perpetrators, aged 20 to 35, were all from Île-de-France and were taken to a magistrate and placed under judicial control after being accused of organised crime. They were banned from frequenting gambling circles and casinos. They face a pending trial in the Pontoise Criminal Court, which will take place in May of 2018.

Casino Barrière d’Enghien had found that gains in electronic roulette did not correspond to the usual distribution. By studying the images recorded by video surveillance cameras, the security identified the suspicious presence of an individual installed at a table using a lever at electronic roulette machines.
