Skill-influenced slot maker Synergy Blue has unveiled several new game titles that will be out on the casino floors during the fourth quarter of 2020.

Synergy Blue CEO Georg Washington said the new games will expand the company’s wide demographic appeal from Baby Boomers who love playing connect three and blast games to Gen Xers who like to race against their friends. Synergy Blue’s game library offers fun for every type of gamer and gambler, he said.

Blizzard Blast

The games will be available in multiple jurisdictions, including California, Oklahoma, Nevada, Florida and Southeast Asia, Washington said.

“With the markets beginning to open up, a lot of rays of sunshine are coming through,” Washington said of the current gaming environment.

Blizzard Blast is a blast-style game of matching and blasting arctic characters. It’s similar to the popular mobile game Toon Blast and has 200 levels; players press “like” blocks to blast figures away. Each level has unique puzzles and power-ups.

Players can even sign in to save their progress.

“It’s our first stand-alone progressive game,” Washington said. “It’s a fun and fast game and the style is cute. This is the first of its type. No one has done a blast-playing-style game, and we think players will love it.”

Buck Wargo plays Joyride Jackpot at Synergy Blue’s Las Vegas office.

Joyride Jackpot is an arcade-driving game with realistic racing action that allows you to race solo or compete against friends on a speedway or city and mountain tracks. The faster you go, the more you can win as part of a hybrid arcade and gambling experience. It was unveiled at G2E 2019 and has since been updated.

Washington said the game creates a next-generation gambling experience and attracts a new demographic by offering an alternative to a traditional casino floor game. It combines the thrill of wagering with a video-game-quality play, including steering and foot pedal.

“It’s the racing game you can wager on,” he said. “It shows that true arcade-style game mixed with casino gambling.”

Players select among eight high-performance race cars and single or multiplayer options that add a social element.

There are five courses, each featuring quality graphics you might expect from a racing game at home or in an arcade, Washington said.

Players collect coins as they race and place a wager as they do so. There’s also a bonus round at the end and the better your driving skills, the higher your potential return, he said. Players can cash out at any time, just like a slot.

The game has a leaderboard challenge for players to get the best lap time and encourage repeat play.

“Players who might otherwise only be there for dinner or to see a show and previously might have skipped the gaming floor altogether, this game is for them,” Washington said. “It’s a fun game.”

Zombie Heat

Zombie Heat is a tower-defense style of play in which players fend off toxic space zombies using homemade traps and a trailer cannon.

Players shoot cannon balls to destroy waves of space zombies and wager; every zombie horde eliminated is similar to pressing the button on a traditional slot.

The homemade traps slow down the zombies, allowing time to adjust the cannon and get the aim just right, Washington said.

The 10 worlds for players to choose from range from easy and medium to hard. Each world has unique level features, puzzles and power-ups.

Royal Dragon Saga

Royal Dragon Saga marks Synergy Blue’s first traditional slot-style game to give players that added option on their bartops and multi-game machines. The gamemaker also has had a video poker game for that purpose.

“It’s a great traditional slot game and we wanted to provide options for every type of player on our multigame cabinets,” Washington said. “It’s trying to offer something for everyone.”

With all the games, multiple gambling variations feature a library of math options, so operators can tailor them to the needs of their guests. Just like a traditional slot, players can change their bet or cash out of any of these titles at any time, Washington said.

All the game titles support multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, and Chinese (simplified & traditional), he said.

In September, Synergy Blue unveiled an Atari-inspired cabinet that will be on casino floors during the fourth quarter. The 2600 cabinet series was designed in consultation with Atari founder Nolan Bushnell. It even incorporated COVID-19 safety features:  antimicrobial/germ-inhibiting touch surfaces and UVC air filtration.

“We wanted to provide a clean and safe environment for games coming back into the casino,” Washington said. “For us, it’s about improved sanitization. It is important that players feel confident and comfortable so they can enjoy their casino experience and have fun. The Blue Safe Touch technology is a standard feature on our 2600 cabinet series and a great addition to a property’s existing  sanitization procedures.”
