Gaming industry veteran Klebanow to retire from Global Market Advisors

Andrew Klebanow, senior partner in Las Vegas-based Global Market Advisors, has announced his retirement the firm said in a statement Sunday.

Klebanow has been with Global Market Advisors since 2005 and has more than 40 years in the hospitality industry. He primarily worked on marketing plan development, focus groups, and player reward programs.

“Today is about celebrating Andrew’s accomplishments over his career.  We would like to thank Andrew for his contributions over the years to GMA and wish him well as he gets to enjoy life a little bit more,” said Steve Gallaway, managing partner of Global Market Advisors.  “He has been a great friend to me over the years and we wish him the best in his next endeavors.”

Klebanow formed his own consulting firm in 2001 formed Global Market Advisors in 2005 with Gallaway.

Klebanow has worked in the hospitality industry since 1975 and in the fields of marketing and business planning since 1991. He held high-level marketing positions in Las Vegas with Sahara Gaming, Santa Fe Gaming, and Alliance Gaming Corp. Klebanow also consulted with Horseshoe Gaming Corp.

With Alliance, he conducted the initial market research, consumer testing and marketing plan development for Gamblers Bonus, the industry’s first cardless player rewards program for the company’s Nevada slot route division. Gamblers Bonus was the first reward program that allowed customers to redeem points for game credits and cash at the machine.

Klebanow has written extensively on the subject of player reinvestment and has developed methodologies for calculating a casino’s player reinvestment rate.
