Global Payments Gaming to provide services to SI Sportsbook thru 888 Holdings

Rege Behe, CDC Gaming Reports · March 22, 2022 at 12:22 pm

Global Payments Gaming Solutions Tuesday announced an agreement with 888 Holdings PLC. The Las Vegas-based payment technology and services provider will deliver igaming solutions to advance 888 Holdings’ payment options for SI Sportsbook.

“At Global Payments, our top priority is providing industry-leading solutions that our partners can leverage to create a safe and secure sports betting experience for patrons,” said Global Payments Gaming Solutions President Christopher Justice in a statement. “We are pleased to partner with SI Sportsbook to help them launch innovative online betting solutions for sport fans.”

Founded in 2021, SI Sportsbook is a division of Sports Illustrated, and leverages the proprietary, scalable technology of 888 Holdings to create value propositions for sports bettors. Global Payment Solutions’ sports betting technology will enable SI Sportsbook to use a multi-channel approach, connecting online and brick-and-mortar gaming players.

The implementation of Global Payments’ iGaming Solutions will allow SI Sportsbook to deliver frictionless funding experiences directly to the sportsbook’s users via their smart devices.

“Delivering a first-class betting and gaming experience is what SI Sportsbook was created for, and a key part of this is offering players a diverse suite of payment options,” said 888 Holdings Director of Business Development John Atkinson in a statement. “Partnering with Global Payments Gaming Solutions enables us to enhance the player experience and further the position of SI Sportsbook as a cutting-edge platform in the market.”

SI Sportsbook currently operates in Colorado with plans to launch in additional states soon, including Virginia.
