In addition to the STRAT, Golden also operates three casinos in Laughlin, Nevada along the Colorado River.

“Stephen brings decades of gaming and hospitality expertise to this role, where he will see through the transformation of the STRAT, which will be completed as we welcome 2020,” Golden Chief Operating Officer Steve Arcana said in a statement.

Stephen Thayer was named general manager of the STRAT.

Thayer has been a general manager of Caesars properties in Las Vegas and Atlantic City since 2004. He was most recently general manager of Harrah’s Atlantic City.
