Here’s when Mississippi Coast casinos are reopening after Hurricane Sally Mary Perez, Biloxi Sun-Herald · September 17, 2020 at 6:46 am Mississippi Gaming Commission ordered the 12 Coast casinos to close at 4 p.m. Monday when the track of Hurricane Sally had the storm aiming for South Mississippi. On Wednesday, the Gaming Commission announced the casinos can reopen at 1 p.m. once they are cleared by the Gaming Commission. The Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi announced a reopening at 10 a.m. Thursday. This quick reopening comes after Hurricane Sally landed to the east of Mississippi, near Gulf Shores, Alabama. The storm surge along the Mississippi Coast on Tuesday caused the parking garage at Palace Casino in Biloxi to flood, as it typically does during a tropical storm.
