The casino will open in 2020 as the rebranded Caesars Southern Indiana with updated facilities, plus new dining, retail and entertainment spaces, according to a press release announcing the change. On-site sports betting will also soon be legal at the casino after Indiana recently passed legislation to allow sports wagering, according to the Indianapolis Star, also part of the USA TODAY Network. People age 21 or older will be able to bet on professional sports teams in casinos once the law, signed by Gov. Eric Holcomb, takes effect in July.
