Industry leaders like Flutterwave, Aruze Gaming and Playtech BGT SPorts are among the brands scheduled to be represented at the conference, the first of its kind geared toward the African gaming market. ICE Africa has also attracted delegates from a total of 91 different countries, including gaming professionals from 25 African nations.

Dan Stone, Senior Marketing Manager at Clarion Gaming, said in a statement, “We took the decision to launch (ICE Africa) following requests from the industry based in Africa that we produce and organise a professional showcase that the continent could be proud of.  Since making the decision to bring the ICE brand to the continent, we have been really encouraged by the hugely positive response from all parties – manufacturers, suppliers, regulators, journalists and commentators alike. “

Offering more of a focus on education than many traditional tradeshows, Clarion says that ICE Africa has been curated to bring the gaming community content covering topics from thought leadership to team training and provided by some of the industry’s most influential and reputable stakeholders. The company has also partnered with the UNLV International Center for Gaming Regulation to bring the Totally Gaming Academy, a leading international training and personal provider, to ICE Africa. The TGA will offer a three-day casino auditing program, a two-day slots masterclass, and a one-day course on Gaming for Non-Gaming Personnel.

“Learning and development are at the core of the ICE Africa experience,” Stone said in describing the conference’s multi-stream structure. “The advanceAFRICA stream creates time for brainstorming around how the future of the African market can be shaped to allow for sustainable growth.  microscopeAFRICA is a series of workshops looking at different facets of the industry, and networkAFRICA is a series of networking breaks, HIVE sessions and roundtables to forge new connections with colleagues from across the continent.  The overall conference programme will cover topics including mobile, lottery, start-ups, investment and regulation.

“All the metrics we look to are highly positive. We are confident of opening a new chapter in the development of African gaming.”
