IGT launches bartop slot machines in California and Las Vegas

International Game Technology said Monday the company launched a line of bartop slot machines at casinos in California and Las Vegas. IGT unveiled the product at last year’s Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.

The games, which include much of IGT’s game content, including video poker.

“Launching the PeakBarTop builds on IGT’s decades of commanding leadership in video poker and positions us to transform the entire bartop market segment,” said IGT COO Nick Khin.

IGT launched the games at Cache Creek in Northern California, and two Southern California casinos – Casino Morongo and San Manuel Casinos. The bartop machines were placing at the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas.

The cabinet has a 23-inch curved, full-HD display monitor, a front-mounted ticket printer and an embedded card reader. IGT added enhanced lighting and sound, a USB mobile device charging port, a play-level indicator for service staff, and embedded Bluetooth technology that enables operators to integrate the company’s cashless gaming systems technology.
