Indiana governor in South Bend to sign gaming compact with Pokagon Band Melissa Hudson, abc57.com · May 4, 2021 at 10:30 pm Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb was in South Bend Tuesday for a ceremonial signing of the state’s Class 3 gaming compact with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. The signing was held at Howard Park. It’s the first compact of its kind in Indiana’s history. The Four Winds Casino South Bend currently has Class 2 gaming, which is based on bingo rather than random number generators. Class 3 gaming would include table games, sports betting and slot machines. “We’ve done just a great deal in our community, building our own government, helping our own people improve the quality of their lives…” said Matt Wesaw, Chairman of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi.
