Innovation Group to talk commercial gaming and data-driven decisions, salute Emerging Leaders of Gaming at NIGA

International gaming consultants the Innovation Group will host the inaugural Emerging Leaders of Gaming mentorship event at NIGA 2019 in San Diego this week. The ELG mentorship event caps the first day of NIGA, April 3, and offers drinks, hors d’oeuvres, peer-to-peer networking and the opportunity to meet leaders of the tribal gaming industry interested in supporting professional development.

The Innovation Group will also be leading several conference discussions, during which the Innovation Group team will explore a variety of educational topics, including commercial casino opportunities for tribes, budget-friendly data analytics practices, and sports betting partnerships. Senior Vice President of Operations and Analytics Brian Wyman will present a Sports Betting Master Class focused on finding a partner and writing a request for proposal, as well as a seminar on Critical Data Analytics for Small & Mid-Sized Tribal Casinos.

Also on April 2, executive vice president Thomas Zitt will moderate ‘The Pros & Cons of Pursuing Commercial Gaming Licenses,’ a panel discussion examining the advantages and disadvantages for tribes. Panelists include Bay Mills Indian Community Chairman Bryan Newland, Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Chairman Rodney Butler, Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association Executive Director Sheila Morago, and TFA Capital Partners Chairman Kristi Jackson.
