With a $16.4 million transaction, Butler National Corp. now owns all of Boot Hill Casino & Resort’s management company less than a year after acquiring the Dodge City attraction’s land and building.
Olathe-based Butler National said in a release that its gaming management subsidiary, Butler National Service Corp., bought out the minority ownership interest in BHCMC LLC, the company that runs the casino, resulting in Butler owning all equity.
The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission signed off on the deal on Oct. 15, according to the release. The transaction closed on Oct. 18, paid for by company money and an $8 million bank loan.
