Kim is a Founding Partner of Standard General L.P., a “significant” shareholder in Twin River, and is the firm’s managing partner and chief investment officer.

Kim has been an independent director of Twin River since 2016.

Twin River currently operates Twin River Casino Hotel and Tiverton Casino Hotel in Rhode Island, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Delaware and Arapahoe Park racetrack in Aurora, Colorado.

Twin River is in the process of acquiring Isle of Capri Casino Kansas City in Kansas City, Missouri and Lady Luck Casino Vicksburg in Vicksburg, Mississippi from Eldorado Resorts for $230 million.

“The company has become a major force in the gaming space and is on a powerful financial trajectory,” Taylor said in a statement. “I am proud of what we’ve accomplished and have nothing but good wishes for the company’s continued success in the future.”

Taylor served as chairman since 2010 and executive chairman since July 2017.

Kim said Taylor offered Twin River “guidance and leadership” as the company emerged from bankruptcy and through a significant period of growth, including its New York Stock Exchange listing.

“His expertise, insight and steady guidance have been invaluable to the business,” Kim said.
