Las Vegas Sands Corp. said Wednesday it appointed Xuan Yan as a new member of the company’s board of directors. He has not been appointed to any committee of the board.
Yan is currently a senior executive with Microsoft Corporation in the Greater China Region and has previously held senior leadership positions in China with other global technology firms.
According to a securities filing, Yan does not have any arrangements with parties or the company that would require a material disclosure. Yan will receive an annual cash retainer of $150,000 as a board member.
Yan becomes the 11th member of the casino company’s board. Las Vegas Sands draws more than 65 percent of the company’s annual revenues from its operations in Macau.
