Louisiana’s Racing Commission gave final approval Tuesday for the sale of Harrah’s Louisiana Downs horse racetrack and casino in Bossier City to Rubico Gaming for $22 million.
Tuesday’s approval follows last week’s OK from the Louisiana Gaming Commission. Both regulators had to sign off on the deal, which has been in the works for more than a year.
“We are prepared to bring this iconic track back to its iconic status,” Rubico President Kevin Preston told the commission.
Joe Morris of Caesars said the sale is expected to close Nov. 1.
