When the Massachusetts Gaming Commission on March 14 ordered all casinos to close for two weeks, MGM Resorts International promised to continue paying its employees for two weeks. The state’s other two casinos, Encore Boston Harbor and Plainridge Park, announced similar arrangements. But the Gaming Commission voted Wednesday to extend the shutdown for at least one more week to April 7, bringing it in line with Gov. Charlie Baker’s order closing nonessential businesses.
