MGM Springfield gaming revenue up $1.8M in February after low point in January Peter Goonan, MassLive · March 15, 2019 at 3:36 pm SPRINGFIELD — MGM Springfield casino generated $21.5 million in gross gaming revenues in February, reflecting a 9.1 percent increase over January’s total, which had set a low mark since the casino opened in August. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission reported that MGM Springfield’s gaming revenue in February totaled $21,500,878.31, an increase of $1,802,824.43 compared to January. The revenue in February consisted of $14,526,578.53 for slots and $6,974,299.77 for table games. The resulting taxes paid to the state by MGM for the month was $5,375,219.58. In January, the gaming revenue was $19.7 million., the lowest revenue of any full month of operation since the $960 million casino opened on Aug. 24.
