The fund, created by media company Barstool Sports, will give $20,000 a month to Water Street Tavern until pandemic-related restrictions are lifted, according to Water Street Tavern owner Michael Beder.

“Just to know that whatever comes our way, that we’re covered — it’s a huge relief,” Beder said in a phone interview with cleveland.com.

Water Street Tavern is one of more than 120 small businesses that have been helped by the Barstool Fund so far. The fund has raised more than $23,200,000, through donations and merchandise sales on its website, barstoolsports.com/the-barstool-fund.
