Charlie Baker announced Thursday that the state will enter Phase 3 of the reopening plan on Monday, July 6. In this phase, casinos, museums and gyms are among the industries allowed to reopen with coronavirus safety measures in place. A day after the announcement, Plainridge Park confirmed to MassLive it intends to reopen to the public on Wednesday, July 8, pending approval from state gaming officials. “We have been working closely with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, state and local leaders, and public health officials to finalize comprehensive reopening protocols and new health and safety precautions,” said Lance George, vice president and general manager at Plainridge Park.
