Gambling software developer Playtech has announced the expansion of its a long-term partnership with the Netherlands’ state-owned Holland Casino as the country prepares to launch regulated igaming.

The agreement will see Playtech become Holland Casino’s strategic technology supplier across its information management system (IMS) platform, sports betting, online casino, live casino, poker and bingo products.

In addition, Playtech will build a live casino facility in close proximity to one of Holland Casino’s existing locations.

Playtech first agreed to provide its technology for Holland Casino in the regulated Dutch market in January 2014, with a planned launch date of early 2015. However, a series of delays have meant that igaming operators may still not launch in the market a full six years after Playtech and Holland Casino expected to go live.
