(AP) – The Rhode Island Lottery contributed more than $379 million to the state in the fiscal year that ended June 30. The state announced the total on Friday. The amount is the lottery’s net income after paying out prizes and deducting commissions and operating expenses. The money goes to the general fund, which is used to pay for most state services. The amount is $1.5 million over the previous year. The lottery implemented table games at Twin River in June. Net table game revenue was $1.9 million that month, with the state’s share after commissions paid to the casino being $300,000. The lottery’s operating expenses were about $7.5 million for the year.
