Bobby Valentine played 14 years and managed for 16 years in Major League Baseball. But he’s also known for a bit of infamous subterfuge: donning a fake moustache and returning to the dugout after being thrown out of a game he managed for the New York Mets in 1999.

Valentine won’t be hiding in his new gig. Rush Street Interactive Tuesday announced that Valentine has been hired as a brand ambassador for BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com.

“We are thrilled to have Bobby Valentine, whose career spans six decades, join our BetRivers family of brand ambassadors,” said RSI CEO Richard Schwartz in a statement. “His vast knowledge and valuable MLB insights will be a tremendous asset to our sports bettors.”

Rush Street operates BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com.

Valentine played for teams including the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, and New York Mets and managed the Texas Rangers, the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox. He also worked as an analyst and announcer for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, NBC Sports, and MLB on Sirius Radio.

Valentine will provide exclusive network and social media content for BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com., a weekly Major League Baseball video, and podcast, television, and radio interviews.

“I’m excited to be joining the BetRivers team at an exciting moment in the evolution of sports betting,” said Valentine in a statement. “This partnership will allow us to share my passion for competitive sports while at the same time providing valuable commentary to fans.”
