In the resolution, the Ombudsman explained that on the 6th of June a complaint was filed by a woman in which she stated that her husband had been able to access gambling establishments on successive occasions despite being prohibited to do so in the Registry of Control and Interdictions of Access to the Establishments of Games and Betting of Andalusia.

Maeztu contends that bingo halls, casinos and gaming halls must have systems which facilitate entry restrictions such as the verification of the identity of the subject prior to access. He says this should be an obligation for these establishments in order to “ensure effective compliance with the measures agreed to by the authority”.
