ICE North America has added boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard to it lineup of speakers for the gaming conference scheduled for May 13-15 in Boston.
Leonard, who is now a television personality and philanthropist, will provide a motivational address during on May 14 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. ICE North America will focus on sports betting, interactive gaming, eSports, and iLottery. The event is being produced by Clarion Gaming.
Leonard, who was an Olympic champion and the first boxer to win world titles in five different weight classes, oversees the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation which funds research for pediatric type 1 & type 2 diabetes and helps children build early healthy habits.
“His professionalism and athletic prowess combined with his charismatic personality and first-hand experience of life in the ring is sure to be a knockout for all our attendees in Boston this May,” said Event Director Rory Credland.
Since retiring from the ring, Leonard has worked as a television broadcaster for NBC, ABC, FOX, HBO and ESPN and now as part of the DAZN broadcast team, the live and on-demand sports streaming platform, providing ringside analysis for Matchroom Boxing.
