Swiss casinos to reopen from 6 June iGaming Business · June 3, 2020 at 6:26 pm The Switzerland National Council (Bundesrat) has announced that casinos in the country will be permitted to reopen from 6 June, after the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic saw them shut for more than two months. Swiss casinos have been closed since 17 March as part of a nationwide lockdown to slow the spread of Covid-19, but with the situation improving, casinos can reopen from Saturday this week. Casinos are among a host of venues that will be permitted to resume operations from 6 June, with amusement parks, zoos, swimming pools and wellness facilities also set to reopen. The Bundesrat also said gatherings of up to 300 people, including sports events, will be allowed from Saturday, while contact training for sports will be permitted. Professional sports are able to resume in Switzerland from 8 June.
