“As our business continues to grow, we are making significant steps in the number of sports, leagues, and live events our players are able to access, view lines, and place wagers on,” said Ian Williams, president of Churchill Downs online division, in a statement.

Sportradar was founded in Norway in 2000 and has 35 offices in 24 countries including New York and Las Vegas in the U.S. It is an official partner of the NBA, NFL, NHL, Major League Baseball, NASCAR, FIFA, and UEFA to collect data and sell it to media companies and sports betting operators.

In 2020, Sportradar struck a deal with Penn National Gaming to use the official NFL play-by-play data feed for live in-game wagers through the gaming operator’s sports betting collaboration with Barstool Sports.

“TwinSpires has a great opportunity ahead of itself, so we look forward to joining them on this journey and helping them deliver a high-quality betting experience that customers can rely on,” said Neale Deeley, managing director of U.S. Betting for Sportradar.

Sportradar reportedly plans to go public through a SPAC with a valuation that has been placed at $10 billion.
