One day after Phil Ruffin’s acquisition of Circus Circus was approved by Nevada regulators, William Hill began sportsbook operations at the northern Strip casino.

The sportsbook will be renovated after Super Bowl LIV with a grand opening celebration planned ahead of March Madness. The remodeled space will feature updated video screens, odds boards, seating, and more.

Phil Ruffin didn’t look far when considering operators for sportsbooks at Circus Circus. “Joe and the William Hill team were the first I thought of to oversee the sports book at Circus Circus. William Hill has been a leader in sports betting for more than 85 years and is one of the most trusted brands in the industry. I can’t wait to see the remodeled space next year.”

“Phil Ruffin has been a great partner, and we look forward to working with him as he breathes new life into this iconic property,” said Joe Asher, CEO of William Hill US. “Circus Circus is a Las Vegas landmark with more than 50 years of history. The north end of The Strip has so many new and updated offerings opening over the next few years and we’re excited to plant another flag in this part of town.”

The partnership at Circus Circus builds on the relationship between William Hill US and Mr. Ruffin who together recently opened a William Hill Race Book at Casino Miami in Florida.

The sports book will offer bettors access to William Hill’s mobile app, kiosks, and InPlay wagering menu.
